    K5,

The short answer is, Yes, for the very reason the Dude explained in his response.

Shawn has discussed the toe-up position at address in several videos to include this one for example starting at about the 2:40 mark . . .

    Hi guys,

I want to say that I address the ball with EVERY club in my bag with the toe (somewhat) UP?

I've always attributed that to (what I believe to be) a consideration in shaft design that I refer to as "droop"?
That is the downward pull of Gravity on the clubhead that flexes the shaft into a more "toe-DOWN" orientation
when the club is put into motion
    ...

Toe-up at address allows room for the "droop" to bring the sole of the club to "flat" at impact.

I'm not a club-designer in anyone's opinion, but I've thought this way as a player for centuries...

    dude abides

I think the title says it all. Just clowning around with a sand wedge and when I addressed ball with toe up slightly the divot made was like a perfect dollar bill and not deep. Generally speaking should one address the ball with the toe up?
Working...
