  • Brace when chipping, but when do I add the tilt?

So, I brace against my forward side when chipping but do not tilt (as in close the hips/shoulders) but when do I add that tilt, is it when pitching or only in the full swing? Thanks

definitely not the last word in this..but I understand it as brace for shorter shots..brace/tilt for full shots.. It relates to the resulting arc of the club head and how the forces are distributed back into the body as the swing is released..

both things relate to where the bottom of the swing arc is ..and how you can then predict it..

Think about where the resulting divot would be in a chip or pitch vs. a full swing..

    cheers
